“ Affordable great food! The service was exceptional! We got the kake udon with simmered beef as a combo. It was delicious! ”
“ Chicken thigh is the best one but the other skewers are pretty good. I think the pork belly needs a bit of work and some more options for skewers would elevate. But I wasn't disappointed and my party all enjoyed the food and sake. ”
“ I actually come to this place more than I thought I would. 5stars bc they always are customer-oriented and the sushi is better than most places in Little Tokyo BY FAR. There's other places around here but TJ is one is my favorite place to visit and dine. They offer imported Japanese sashimi...it's great. The service is absolutely wonderful. There are so many places...I still keep thinking about this one for some reason...sushi is top tier ”
“ Went here with my kid for quick bites and some sake before a show nearby. It's definitely a very decent place for a reasonable Japanese classics with an izakaya vibe to it. It's an old place in a mall so don't expect too much of it but it's nice and clean. The service is great, nice and fast. ”
“ update / second review: I never been to a restaurant that has gotten better/ up their game. not sure if it has anything to do with their merger with Aizen Sushi (BANNNNKAIIII, sorry i had to), but their sushi has tasted noticably better. I usually don't expect much for a 'jack of all trade' restaurant, and this place has yakitori, sushi, udon, etc. But their yakitori and sushi definitely deliver. ”
“ Every time I get a craving for Yakitori, I think of Bizan. This place is definitely in my Top 5 Japanese restaurants. I love sitting at the counter to watch the chefs grill the skewered meats right in front of me. Everything we ordered was super tasty. One of my favorites here is the Monkfish liver--it's like an Umami Bomb! The vibe totally feels like Japan! The restaurant is kind of tucked away, but being in the mall makes parking a breeze. ”
“ If you're in Little Tokyo in LA, this hidden gem izakaya is a must-visit! The vibe is cozy yet lively, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends. Their menu is packed with variety--perfectly grilled yakitori, fresh hand rolls and sushi, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, crisp tempura, and comforting onigiri. Each dish is top-notch, and with reasonable prices, you can explore the menu without breaking the bank. The customer service here is excellent; the staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations, adding that extra touch to the experience. And the cold beer? Absolutely refreshing, pairing perfectly with every bite. Parking is also super convenient and validated, so your entire visit is hassle-free. For anyone who loves Japanese food and top-notch service, this place is an absolute hidden gem in Little Tokyo! P.S. We love this place so much that after my husband and I got married at the courthouse, we went straight here to celebrate with our close friends! ”
“ Located on the outskirts of Little Tokyo, this restaurant is inside the "Little Tokyo Galleria" on the on the corner of Alameda and 4th St. Just look for the corner building with "333" written on it. Here's what we ordered... Skewers Gizzard: Very good Chicken thigh with green onion: Very good Meatball: Good Corn: Good Pork Belly: Was too tough in texture Salmon collar: Very good Tanuki udon: Excellent and I know my udon broth Negi toro cut roll: good, but pricey at $21.00 Overall, the food was good. The service was just fair. The ambiance was fine. You sit very close to other customers, but they were all respectful and kept their voices down. They validate parking, so be sure to take your ticket inside. ”
“ One of the better yakitori restaurant around the LA area! I usually make reservation before heading over especially during the weekend because it gets packed. It's on the 3rd floor of the Alameda building next to X-lanes and above the Korean market. Service is usually on and off- some days you get great service and some day it takes 15 minutes before you get to place an order or even get water. Food is on the more expensive side but tastes delicious. The sautéed skirt steak with shishito peppers appetizer, however, was not worth and very salty. Parking is free with validation from the restaurants or market. ”
